CMAT 2027 Complete Syllabus Breakdown

The CMAT 2027 syllabus consists of five major sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The overall structure of the exam has remained largely consistent in recent years, and no major changes are expected for CMAT 2027. Section 1: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation – 20 Questions

This section tests your numerical ability, mathematical concepts, and data analysis skills through topics such as:

  • Arithmetic: Percentages, Profit and Loss, Time & Work, Time-Speed-Distance, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Simple and Compound Interest, Mixtures & Allegations

  • Algebra: Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, Inequalities, Logarithms, Progressions

  • Geometry & Mensuration: Lines, Angles, Triangles, Circles, Coordinate Geometry, Area and Volume

  • Number System: HCF & LCM, Divisibility Rules, Remainders, Prime Numbers

Section 2: Logical Reasoning – 20 Questions

This section evaluates analytical thinking and logical problem-solving ability. Important topics include:

  • Seating Arrangements (Linear & Circular)

  • Blood Relations

  • Coding-Decoding

  • Syllogisms

  • Series (Number & Alphabet)

  • Direction Sense

  • Clocks and Calendars

  • Venn Diagrams

Section 3: Language Comprehension – 20 Questions

This section assesses English language skills, vocabulary, and reading ability through:

  • Reading Comprehension Passages

This section tests knowledge of current affairs and static GK. It includes:

  • Current Affairs: National & International Events, Government Policies, Business & Economy, Sports, Awards, Summits

  • Static GK: Indian History, Geography, Polity, Constitution, Important Dates, Books & Authors, Science & Technology

Section 5: Innovation & Entrepreneurship – 20 Questions

This section focuses on business awareness and entrepreneurial concepts such as:

  • Marketing Basics
